Janet Brenton - Managing Partner

Janet took over as managing partner in 2011, and as such oversees the bigger picture of running a large practice as a well oiled machine.

She is responsible for the management of the small animal surgeries, staff training, and community liaison and promotion.

Janet enjoys singing with the King Edward Musical Society and sailing at Rudyard Lakes Sailing club.

Bridget Taylor

Bridget qualified in 1984 from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at Edinburgh, and joined Wright and Morten in 1989 to follow her developing interest in farm work.  She became a partner in 2001, and since that time has pushed for increasing specialisation within the practice to enable the provision of the highest level of service in each department. 

Bridget and Helen now lead the farm team and Bridget is currently managing partner for the whole practice.  Bridget’s particular interests are in farmer training and education, health planning for dairy, beef and sheep farms and practice development.

Gareth Harries

After qualifying from Glasgow in 1995, Gareth worked in Staffordshire in mixed practice before deciding his path lay in treating small animals. He has spent around half of his career working in the charity sector, in the Midlands, North East and in London.  His work has provided him with great experience of  seeing many very unfortunate  trauma patients. In March 2003, He moved from a hospital run by the country's largest veterinary group in London to Macclesfield.

When he is not studying or working, He enjoying walking, climbing and just about any outdoor pursuit. His ambitions for the future include an ascent of the Mont Blanc.  In 2005 Gareth passed his Certificate in Small Animal Surgery awarded by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, so if your pet needs an operation, you know they are in the best possible hands.

Mark Tabachnik

Mark is our partner in charge of the equine side of the practice and the day to day running of the Somerford Park clinic. Mark has a particular interest in equine lameness, dentistry, and acupuncture in both horses and dogs. In September 2004 Mark gained a Certificate in Equine Practice awarded by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, one of only about 90 vets in the country with this further qualification.  He is also responsible for vet students seeing practice. He and his wife Claire have two children, Joseph and Lara.

Helen Worth

Helen joined the partnership at Wright & Morten in April 2010, and is responsible for the development of the farm side of the practice.  After qualifying from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at Edinburgh in 1999, she worked in mixed practice in North Wales before joining the Wright & Morten large animal team in October 2000, to pursue her interest in dairy cattle.

Since being awarded the Diploma in Bovine Reproduction from the University of Liverpool in 2006, Helen has developed the Bull Fertility Service offered by the practice.
