Macclesfield vet hospital

Staff // Contact

Macclesfield is inspected by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons regularly and is classed as Tier 3 which means it is a Veterinary Hospital. More information about this may be accessed on the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons website www.rcvs.org.uk/practicestandards.

A number of key standards must be reached and we must have specific diagnostic equipment such as ECG and Ultrasound.

More information about this equipment is available on the pages about investigating medical and surgical problems.

We must have isolation facilities to provide care to patients with serious infections that may be highly contagious. Standards of cleanliness and sterility are rigorously examined.

Macclesfield is open between 8am and 7pm on weekdays and between 9am and 1pm on Saturdays. We hold an emergency surgery on Sunday mornings for patients that need to have check ups, or for some of the patients needing attention over the weekend.

During the week we have consulting available between 8.30am and 12.30pm and then 2.30pm and 7pm. For more information about the staff, take a look at the staffing page.

Nursing staff are available 24 hours a day to attend our patients when required, including continual nursing care if required.
